US Air Force Launches Pets Rescue
The US Air Force today helped move some forgotten survivors of the tsunami that wiped out parts of southern Thailand – more than 100 homeless cats and a single dog whose owners are believed to have perished.The crew of an Air Force transport plane which has been flying relief missions to the region agreed to bring the 122 cats and lone canine passenger to Bangkok after an appeal from a Thai animal protection society whose volunteers had rescued the four-legged survivors.
